Recreation Soccer
Recreational Soccer is a fun and participation league designed for learning and enjoyment of playing the game. The majority of the players in the division are in recreational soccer.
The goal of MVU is to offer every player the opportunity to participate in and play soccer at his or her own level of competition. Teams are provided in a recreational league, a classic league and an adult league. Emphasis is placed on the development of soccer skills, participation and enjoying the game of soccer. While team standings are kept, won-loss records are de-emphasized as the league puts soccer skill development, participation and enjoyment of the game of soccer first.

Players in recreational soccer are guaranteed participation in two quarters or one half of each game if they participate constructively in at least one practice per week unless the coach notifies and gives reasonable justification to the player, his/her parent(s) or guardian, and the opposing coach prior to the game, OR the player or his/her parent(s) or guardian requests the coach to do so. If the player, his/her parent(s) or guardian or the opposing coach believes that the minimum playing time has not been allowed, such person should notify the Recreation Director within 48 hours. Otherwise, players are guaranteed one quarter of a match.

There are separate boys and girls divisions for players from U4 through U18. Uniforms are available for purchase at Dayak’s Den at the Fremont Hub. The player supplies shoes, shinguards and a ball.

The U4-U6 division plays 3v3 micro soccer and will move into 5v5 when they age up to U7 and 5v5 at U8. Players in the U9 thru U10 divisions play 8v8 and once players advance to U12 and older, they play 11v11.

The teams are formed by the team formation committee and they are primarily formed based on neighborhoods. There is no recruiting of players allowed in recreational soccer.
